Arsenal v Red Star Belgrade
Match Reflection:
A draw was the right result in the end as both teams created chances but lacked the killer instinct to take the game by the horns. The result in Germany favours both sides and sets up a final Matchday clash in Group H to see who will join Arsenal in the knock-out stages of this years competition.
FULL TIME: Arsenal 0:0 Red Star Belgrade
The Crveno-beli have held on to halt Arsenal’s 100% win record in Group H. The valuable point here at The Emirates keeps Ref Star in second place in the group table as BATE are beaten 5:2 by FC Köln in Germany.
90+2 Min:
Arsenal spread the play from right to left to try and find a way through the Red Star midfield but they cant, will the Serbian’s hold on for the last two minutes..!!
90 Min:
We’re now into time added on and there will be four minutes
88 Min:
Radonjic is the latest to leave the field, on another night the left sided forward could have scored a couple of goals, will Red Star live to regret those chances? Pesic comes on for the last two minutes plus any additional time the Italian referee adds on

86 Min:
The lively Srnic is done for the evening — he created a few good opportunities for the visitors but Milojevic has hooked him off with four minutes remaining. Racic replaces him
86' Navijači Arsenala polako napuštaju stadion. Druga izmena u Zvezdi, Srnić izlazi, Uroš Račić je na terenu #fkcz #arsczv

84 Min:
Both sides now look happy to take a point each, the little bit of risk needed to find a goal isn’t being taken – The locals have had enough and The Emirates starts to empty.!
80 Min:
Another chance goes begging for Red Star — Nenad Milijaš slides in Boakye but the Ghanaian can’t find the net (again)
77 Min:
The game is finely balanced as we approach the final 10 minutes. Red Star have had their opportunities but Wilshere’s chance moments ago remains the closest we’ve had to a goal so far.
71 Min:
Nenad Milijaš strides down the right and delivers a testing ball but Elneny is equal to it and clears the ball behind for a corner
69 Min:
Now the Crveno-beli make a change — Nenad Milijaš makes an appearance back on English soil, Kange makes way for the ex-Wolverhampton Wanderers player
69' Prva izmena u našem timu. Umesto Kange, u igri je Nemanja Milić. #fkcz #arsczv

65 Min:
Wilshere goes close he stabs the ball past Borjan and it looks in but Le Tallec makes an astonishing block, that’s the closest we’ve had to a goal so far.!
59 Min:
The game has gone a bit flat – Wilshere appeals for a penalty but it’s waved away, then almost immediately he appeals for another — the ball hits Savic’s arm but it comes from a deflection off his thigh, there is little he could have done about it — it was accidental, the referee is correct
56 Min:
Srnic slips through a dangerous ball — it evades the Arsenal defenders and Boakye is full stretch to get a toe on it. The assistant raises his flag, the striker had just made a move too soon
55 Min:
The game suddenly looks to have swung in favour of the hosts — Nelson with a strong run but the young Arsenal player is thwarted at the final moment from delivering a cross
52 Min:
Arsenal go close twice in under a minute, Red Star need to wake up — Giroud is ready to pounce
48 Min:
Not sure about this — There are a lot of empty seats around the stadium.! They witness Giroud hit a shot from just outside the area, it cruises over the bar

46 Min:
It’s the visitors who get the second half underway. Can they find a way through during this next 45 minutes? They’ve been the better side so far
Kick-Off: Second Half – Red Star Belgrade
Half-Time: Arsenal 0:0 Red Star Belgrade
It’ll be the visitors who go in the happier as the first half ends. Radjonic and Boakye both had opportunities to score — at least one of them should, if not both. It’s the team from Belgrade who are in control here in North London, but the scoreline remains blank

45 Min:
Boakye misses an absolute golden opportunity to put Red Star in front — Clean through with only the oncoming Macey to beat he slips the ball wide — Milojevic looks to the sky on the sideline, that should have been the goal to send the away supporters wild.
43 Min:
Walcott squares the ball to Giroud in the area but it’s a terrible pass — The Frenchman was two meters out and unmarked with the goal at his mercy. That was a big chance for the hosts to snatch the lead against the run of play
39 Min:
Savic hits the bar, his header is tipped onto the woodwork by Macey – Red Star will feel they have done enough to have broken the deadlock in this first half.
41 Min:
Some great interplay between Kanga and Srnic and the winger is once again in behind the backline of the Gunners, once again its that final ball that keeps us at 0:0
35 Min:
Srnic again — This time the right winger tries his luck from outside the area but Macey is equal and tips the ball over for a corner
33 Min:
Srnic plays in a dangerous ball from the right and it is panic cleared by the Arsenal defence — Red Star are creating opportunities, they just need to find that little bit of quality
31 Min:
Francis Coquelin drives 25 meters with the ball and the back two of Red Star look vulnerable — Much to the relief of the away side the Frenchman falls over the ball and there is an audible groan from the sides
30 Min:
Radonjic is in acres of space on the Red Star left, but Srnic fires the cross-field ball too far behind him and the chance is lost. Had he been found it would have been a certain goal attempt
27 Min:
The game has settled into pattern, with both teams looking to attack — however, both are unable to find the quality needed in the final third. Boakye skies his shot high over the Arsenal crossbar
23 Min:
The pre-match sprinklers look to have played havoc with Milan Borjan — He’s now slipped over four times in the first 23 minutes, wouldn’t be surprised to see a request to change his boots soon.
20 Min:
Crvena zvezda have won twice on the road already during this European campaign — victories at Sparta Praha in the third qualifying round and at Köln on Matchday 2 of the group stage. They’ve started brightly and are matching their hosts so far
16 Min:
Arsenal pressure — Their third corner of the minute is lofted in by Jack Wilshere but it’s too high for Holding to direct it goalwards
12 Min:
Radonjic is clean through but he miss-controls his first touch and the ball skims off his foot for a goal kick, he should have done much better.
10 Min:
Borjan is called into action early, he stops Giroud from adding to his already impressive UEL goal tally, a warning for the visitors — Maitland-Niles skipped past the backline to provide a pinpoint cross
8 Min:
The hosts have their first sight of goal but Walcott’s shot is deflected over for a corner, the following cross is cleared with ease
6 Min:
A poor clearance by Arsenal GK, Matt Macey and he presents Boakye with a golden opportunity but the striker can’t shift his feet quick enough to get a shot off
4 Min:
Radonjic breaks onto the box but can’t pick out a blue shirt with the cross, the visitors got behind the Arsenal backline easily then – a good sign
2 Min:
Captain, Donald looks assured in the centre for the visitors in the opening moments for the Red-Whites
Kick-Off: Arsenal

These two have met each other before, in the old UEFA Cup – 1978/79 third round, Branko Stanković’s Crvena Zvezda winning 1:0 in Belgrade – with Cvijetin Blagojević the scorer – and then making it through to the next round thanks to a 1-1 draw against Terry Neill’s men at Highbury, where Dušan Savić’s late effort cancelled out an Alan Sunderland goal
