Champions League – Who Is Going Through?

Champions League – Who Is Going Through?

Manuel Veth –

With just one round left in the Champions League, it’s getting to squeaky bum time for a lot of clubs. Several clubs are still fighting for a spot in the round of 16, as well as make the Europa League slot and as a result there is still plenty to play for until December 11.

We take a look at every group in the Champions League and which way it could go:

Champions League – Group A

Group A is already sewn up with very little to play for going into the final fixture.

Both Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund have qualified, with Club Brugge and Thierry Henry’s Monaco finishing third and fourth respectively.

Dortmund face the latter in the final game with Atletico taking on Brugge in what will likely be a bit of a damp squib.

Champions League – Group B

Tottenham kept their hopes of qualification alive with victory over Inter Milan last week, and need to match or better the Italian side’s result against PSV when taking on Barcelona.

The Spanish side are guaranteed top spot with Inter clear favourites to join them in the Second Round with odds of 4/9 available at Betfred.

PSV are confirmed as the bottom of the group, with Spurs or Inter at least guaranteed a Europa League place.

Champions League – Group C

It’s a three-way fight for qualification in Group C and a group well worth enjoying a few Champions League free bets on.

Napoli currently sit top of the group, with Paris Saint-Germain occupying second and Liverpool third. The Reds have to beat the leaders in order to qualify, while bottom club Red Star Belgrade can still qualify for the Europa League.

PSG are currently favourites to qualify at 1/20 with William Hill, with Napoli just pipping Liverpool at 4/7 with the same bookie.

Champions League – Group D

Group D is already determined regarding qualification as Porto sealed top spot and Schalke taking second.

The Europa League is still up for grabs as Galatasaray currently sit on four points and bottom club Lokomotiv Moscow on three.

Galatasaray have the home tie in the final round, taking on Porto so have a slight advantage. However, with qualification sealed it really could go either way as the top two look to rest players.

Champions League – Group E

There were incredible scenes last week as Ajax sealed their qualification amid violent clashes joining Bayern München in the top two.

The Dutch side still have the chance to take the top spot but must beat Bayern on December 12.

Benfica have already taken the Europa League spot with AEK Athens confirmed as the bottom club in Group E.

Champions League – Group F

Manchester City are the only club qualified from Group F and are all but mathematically confirmed as group winners.

Lyon will join them bar a miraculous nine-goal swing between them and Shakhtar Donetsk, though the bookies don’t see this happening at 10/1. The Ukrainian are almost confirmed as Europa League contenders and will seal third unless they lose to Lyon and Hoffenheim beat Manchester City.

Champions League – Group G

Both Real Madrid and Roma are through to the Second Round and will likely go through in that order.

Both Viktoria Plzen and CSKA Moscow are on four points with the Russian club facing Madrid. They must better the Czech side’s result against Roma to qualify for the Europa League and are therefore underdogs to get through.

Champions League – Group H

Manchester United failed to impress on Tuesday night but sealed qualification with a 1-0 win over Young Boys.

Juventus currently sit top of the group and have also qualified with Valencia confirmed as the third-place club.

Only top spot is up for grabs with United required to beat the Spanish club and Juventus needing to lose or potentially draw against Young Boys depending on goal difference.
