Then there is also the fact that UEFA awards the victor of any group stage match with €1.5 million, which is a decent sum of money that Dynamo could use in the winter to make much needed investments in the squad. This means, for Beşiktaş, that the match is anything but a foregone conclusion.

The forward has recently surpassed club legend, Andriy Shevchenko, and has moved into third place in all time scoring for Dynamo Kyiv. With the winter break approaching, and the transfer window opening on January 1, Yarmolenko will likely, once again, be linked with numerous clubs in Western Europe. Dynamo have recently promoted Viktor Tsygankov, a promising winger, from the youth side, and he plays on the same position, as Yarmolenko, and also seem a good fit if Dynamo’s ownership finally decides to sell Yarmolenko.
